Network Operations Engineer

Mobile is the future of our industry as the future of our company.We are seeking a brilliant, creative, self-motivated Network Operations Engineer to join our mobile games team. As a Network Operations Engineer, you will work to deliver and maintain an exceptional live service for two hit mobile titles - partnering with a local game team in HK City, and another game team in China. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibility

  • Ensure high availability for the game services.
  • Work together with the game teams to plan and execute game releases and updates.
  • Collaborate with network engineers across the designing and improving the delivery and operations of production services.
  • Monitor and maintain network and network security equipment, WAN circuit trouble shooting and handling proactive and reactive outages
  • Manage network capacity, deploying equipment, implementing process improvements, administering network management systems or developing and maintain network automation tools and ensuring compliance with Information Security standards.

    • Key Requirements

  • Experience in managing highly scalable systems.
  • Experience in software release management / performance optimization in fast-moving environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL and shell scripting, and experience with at least one of: Perl, Python, or Ruby.
  • Servlet container experience,
  • Experience with Amazon , Google Web Services.
  • Understanding of Web Services XML, and Application Layer protocols RPC and HTTP.
  • Knowledge in NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, etc. is a plus.
  • An understanding of massively scalable system design / management.
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux, and open source technologies and platforms.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Knowledge in monitoring tools such as Zabbix is a plus.
  • Understanding of mobile platform services limitations.
  • Education in an Engineering field - Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable experience.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Passion for games.
